Method involves charging of the starter generator by means of an additional electric load simultaneously with automatic or manual switching off of a combustion engine of the starter generator. Charging is maintained by means of separate excitation of a stator winding in such a way that its revolution is lowered upto the coupling revolution of the starter interlock synchronized to the revolutions of the combustion engine.
