Microscope stage fixing apparatus for laterally movable motor-driven stage, has lowering part which is movable until it fixes specimen stage by abutting it

A specimen stage (2) is laterally displaceable in a stage carrier (3) of a microscope. Its movement is impeded by a lowering part (5) arranged on a supporting carrier (4). In one position of the supporting carrier, the lowering part is held above the laterally movable specimen table. As required by the user of the microscope, the lowering part is moveable until it fixes the specimen stage by abutting it.
