The method involves exposing a microfilm (6) with an additional partial image of color separation. A relative movement between the microfilm and a color monitor (3) is shifted opposite to pixels of preceding illumination corresponding to a section, until the raster completely covers an illuminated area of the microfilm, while a partial image is displayed with illuminated points in the monitor and is formed on the microfilm. An independent claim is also included for a device for exposing a microfilm.
