The holder has a shell (11) for the accommodation of a roughness measuring device, and comprising edges lying opposite to each other, where the shell has a feed device and a roughness sensing device. Guiding clamps (20, 21) are arranged at the edges of the shell and are adjusted for the accommodation of an oblong shaft of a supporting unit, where the clamps and the shell are formed as single plastic injected part. The clamps have a guiding jaw that is formed at the shell and a clamping jaw, where the clamping jaw is supported by a spring hinge in a rotatable manner.
