The exchanger (1) has a channel (2), and a bypass-channel (3) by-passing the channel (2), where a heat exchanger (4) is arranged in the channel. The channel (2) encloses the channel (3). An exhaust gas inlet (10) of the exchanger (1) is common for the channels (2, 3) and is connected with a bypass-inlet (11) by a connecting channel (27). A heat exchanger-inlet of the channel (2) communicates with the exhaust gas inlet by a gas-permeable wall of the channel (27).
