Highly dispersed pyrogenic silicic acid with a functionalized surface, obtained by applying a quaternary ammonium base and reactive double bonds on the surface of the silicic acid particle; suspending the hydrophilic silicic acid in a diallyldimethylammonium chloride solution and optionally removing the solvent.
