The method involves running a speed regulating process with a speed- and/or rotation speed course that is defined differently to a line axis (LA) during deviation from a relative reference angular position of a folding apparatus (FA) for synchronization. A unit e.g. drawing roller, is arranged parallel to the folding apparatus, works together with a web e.g. paper web, in a force-fit/form-fit manner, and runs with the same speed- and/or rotation speed course that is defined differently to actual line axis movement.
