The method involves recording the temperature at different places of heating appliance or in effective area or area of a heating device, by using resistor temperature sensors (S1, S2). A difference or a difference signal of both temperature or temperature signals (T1, T2) of temperature sensors is formed, and the difference regarding their process is evaluated over time. An automatic cooking program is implemented at the heating device. An independent claim is also included for a device for generating, processing and evaluating temperature signals correlated with the temperature of a heating appliance or heating device, during operation.
