The procedure for irrigation of green areas with sea water, comprises supplying sea water into an area underneath the green areas, where the area is closed by a breathable upper- and lower geo-textile (2, 4), above which a soil (5) enriched with superabsorber is present. The superabsorber condenses and absorbs the water from the moisture present in the air. The area is also closed at the bottom by the geo-textile. The geo-textile is micro-coated with a fluoropolymer and the surface tension of the fluoropolymer is adjusted to 25mN/m. A lattice is present below the upper geo-textile, which takes up the pressure of the soil and the geo-textile lying above it and distributes the pressure on to the supports of the area. The geo-textile is water-repellent for adjusting the water level. The sea water is led through the warmed-up soil before the introduction into the area lying below the soil. The soil for the plants is cooled down through the warming-up of the sea water for reducing the water evaporation at the surface, and contains peat and compost. The sea water is intermittently supplied to develop a reciprocating excess pressure in the area. The developed pressure presses the saturated air into the earth for developing a larger effective surface. For the hydrophobic treatment of the geo-textile, liquid fluoropolymers are used. Average porosity of the geo-textile is designed to lie within a wide range. An independent claim is included for a stone device for the construction of a sufficient area under the green areas for irrigation of green areas with seawater.
