The sensor has a support (12) supporting an inertia body (14), and a sensor lever (34) deviated from a rest position to activate a restraint system, where the support has a baring shell. A coupling body (40) is provided between the inertia body and the lever. The coupling body has base, cover and shell surfaces (42, 44, 46), where two spaced contact points are provided between the base surface and the inertia body in the rest position of the inertia body, and another two spaced contact points are provided between the cover surface and the lever.
