The drive has a housing (11), and a drive train driven by a drive motor (12) and separable by switchable releasing units (14), where the train has a movable spindle nut (17) and the drive is coupled with components, which are adjusted relative to each other. The drive train is provided with a damping unit (15), which limits the adjustment speed of the spindle nut with the separated drive train. Force produced by the damping unit is increased with larger adjustment speed of the spindle nut.
