The method involves analyzing audio receiving signal on variation, and determining a control variable for the variation of signal amplification. An averaged frequency section is continuously generated from frequency spectrum of the audio-receiving signal for a given time slot. Characteristics` changes of the frequency section are detected according to given criteria, so as to determine the control variable for the variation of the signal amplification. A time frame for the change of the frequency section is provided as the criteria. An independent claim is also included for an audio-receiving system for executing a method for correcting sound level variation.
