The transmission has a transmission input (E), a transmission output (A), and a driving unit that is arranged between the input and the output. A change speed gearbox (4) has rotational speed/torque conversion devices (16.1-16.4) that specify a gear ratio. Switching units (24.11-24.14, 24.22-24.24) for selective coupling or uncoupling of the conversion devices are coaxially arranged to layshafts (10, 11). The switching units are operatable such that a power transmission is possible over the jackshafts according to type of a summation gear.
