The method involves cut parts (2,3), which are fixed on molded body locally by means of equipments (4) present on the molded body. In the seam range the cut parts overlapped and rest loosely over the molded body. A setting element (5) is arranged with lateral suppression (6) at the starting of an edged area of the cut parts and aligns overlapping ends against each other. The suppression attach the cut parts on the setting element and the adjacent cut parts are connected by means of a device following the setting up element. An independent claim is also included for the device for erecting seam inlay while joining flexible flat material.
