An extruder installation has one or more extruders (1). An extruder tool (2) produces flat thermoplastic preforms/parisons (3). A blow-mold unit has a blow mold (4), which can be fitted as stationary below or alongside the extrusion tool and can also move under the extrusion tool so as to pick up the thermoplastic preforms/parisons. An independent claim is also included for an extrusion tool for carrying out the method of the present invention.
