The device has a streamlined lifting body (1), and a set of fins (2) attached below the lifting body, where the fins deflect by moving the lifting body around a longitudinal axis such that driving of the device is originated by the fins. A gripping bar and/or steering rod (3) has a handlebar for steering the device using fins or an additional helm, and the fins drift around an axis of rotation (5), where steering angle of the fins is adjusted using a linkage over an attachment point of a rope.
