Roll over protection method for motor vehicle, generates tuned mass distribution parameter based on lateral acceleration, roll rate and difference between current and existing mass parameters
A lateral acceleration and a roll rate of the motor vehicle are detected. The tuned mass distribution parameter is estimated, based on lateral acceleration, roll rate and difference between current and existing mass parameters. The tuned mass distribution parameter is introduced to a roll over stability control system of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for protective system against roll over in a vehicle.
