The method involves joining an outer bushing (iii) of a round bearing with a hollow bearing unit (ii) by using an adhesive that is applied in a fluid form, during mounting such that the outer bushing completely or partially covers the bearing unit. An inner bushing (i) of the round bearing is glued in the hollow bearing unit and is covered by the outer bushing. The outer bushing consists of two or more sections and two half shells, which are movably arranged over the edges of the outer bushing. An independent claim is also included for a round bearing obtained by the method of manufacturing the round bearing.
