The method involves specifying a contour of the real environment in a form of a virtual model (20), and arranging the model in reference to the contour. A three dimensional space is specified in a form of another virtual model (50) and arranging an output form of the latter model against the former virtual model. The spatial position of the latter model opposite to the former model is determined. A modified latter model is determined based on a certain position of the latter model, and a three dimensional space is determined based on the modified latter model. An independent claim is also included for a system for determining a three dimensional space against a real environment.
