The method involves segmenting data into blocks (B1-B3) of modulation symbols (S1-S6). Each symbol is transmitted within the blocks with increased transmission power. The transmission power of the symbol is selected such that an overall transmission power of the blocks is unaltered. The symbol with the increased transmission power is utilized as phase and amplitude reference for the other symbols in the respective block.
