The device has coils for producing a magnetic alternating field with a frequency of 50 kilo hertz (kHz) and a specified field strength, where two air-cored coils (1) are provided as the coils. The air-cored coils induce heating of a magnetizable or magnetic material e.g. nano-particle, by magnetic loss in a flow-through condition. An accommodation device (2) is provided for a body part (13) that is to be treated. An adjusting unit is provided to position the coils, where the device has a screw unit (6) made of plastic.
