The container (1) has retaining units at a head plate for engaging a lifting device. Rotatable rollers are formed at a rear end of a base plate (15), and the container is formed from steel. Compartments (3) for receiving electronic wastes are arranged within an inner side of the container over an entire length of a side wall (13) of the container. The retaining units are movably arranged at a wall and a base of the container in a longitudinal direction so that the retaining units come to lie in a transversal plane as a wall unit. An expandable intermediate base is provided at the sidewall.
