Coupler for an iron path model, comprising:a first semi-cylindrical section with an essentially semicylindrical shape,a second semi-cylindrical section with a substantially semi-cylindrical shape, which to the first semi-cylindrical section on a circle, the essentially concentric with respect to the first semi-cylindrical section, and which has an inner diameter which is greater than that of the first semi-cylindrical section,a first engaging portion, which in a projecting manner to an outer circumferential surface of the first semi-cylindrical section is provided, anda second engagement section, which in a recessed manner on an inner peripheral surface of the second semi-cylindrical section is provided, at a position, the engagement with a first engaging section on a same type of a coupler is made possible, in order to be coupled with the same, and the a recess width in a circumferential direction, which is greater than a projection width in a circumferential direction of the first engagement section.
