The method involves saturating fine leather particles with a fluid adhesive agent to a mixture. The mixture is distributed on a web shaped carrier layer, and a fiber layer is laid on the mixture. The carrier layer that consists of three layers that lies on top of each other, mixture and the fiber layer are needled together, where the adhesive agent is hardened. A layer made of polymer plastic material is coated after applying the mixture on the carrier layer. The web shaped material is structured by an injecting process and consists of a covering layer.
