The film (12) is placed in a tank (10) and during treatment with different fluids, remains in the same tank. Each fluid is pumped separately into the tank (14) and after a set processing interval, is pumped out again (16). The tank is light-tight and sized to match the dental x-rays processed. Water is introduced for rinsing after each processing stage, it is pumped out again before the next stage. Fluids are heated in a tube as they are pumped in. The film is dried by pumping hot or cold air through the tank. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
