A field (144) woven into the fabric at the tucked selvage (135) includes alphanumeric symbols, logos or color(s), forming an advertising backing or brand name. The field is interwoven into the main fabric (140) wefts. its width ensures that inlaid ends (139) of the weft thread (138) are covered by the field weaving technique. These ends are visible at the fabric surface, on the upper or lower side. Wefts of the main fabric and warps of the field are matched with each other, giving the appearance of a fabric produced with a continuous warp thread. A number of variants of the foregoing edge weaving technique and its detailed inclusions are provided, based on the foregoing principles. The field has a minimum width of 5 mm, being preferably 15-50 mm wide. It is connected with a double tucked selvage. Further fields may be provided.
