The method involves connecting external clamping force measuring device with the controller of the door drive. The clamping force of the door is measured at selected characteristic points. The measured results are transferred to the controller of the door drive and/or to an evaluation unit of the clamping force measuring device. The parameters are optimized for door drive. The optimized parameters are transferred in the controller of the door drive.
