A docking station includes a foldable carrier plate preferably of downward or upward hinged construction. The carrier plate may be mounted to a wall-mounted or mobile cabinet assembly, or coupled with the folding mechanism of heat distribution medium plates. Furthermore, the station includes a hinged centering facility for introduction of tray carriages.
