The system has a magnet circuit, which exhibits an inner pole element (1) and an outer pole element (2). One of the pole elements (1, 2) is divided into an inner pole segment (11), outer pole segment and a segment (5). A unit is provided for changing the breadth of the effective area of a produced magnetic field. One of the segments is movably supported in such a manner that the spatial adjustment of a partial magnetic field produced by the segments is changeable with respect to partial magnetic fields produced by other segments.
