The sensor has an electrode (4) fastened at an upper surface of a plate-shaped carrier (3). Another electrode (5) is fastened at the upper surface of the carrier, where the electrode (5) is spaced from the electrode (4). A shield (9) is fastened at the upper surface of the carrier, where the shield is made of electrically conductive material. The shield extends partially around the two electrodes along the upper surface of the carrier. Two contacts (6, 7) are fastened to the carrier, where the two contacts are electrically connected with the two electrodes, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sensor.
