Method for deflecting electrically charged ink droplets of continuously operating ink jet printer entails carrying out deflecting of ink droplet by means of electrical field which is individually selectable for each ink droplet
The method for deflecting electrically charged ink droplets of a continuously operating ink jet printer entails carrying out the deflecting of an ink droplet (11) by means of at least one electrical field (21) which is individually selectable for each ink droplet and which runs along with an ink droplet in the original trajectory (100). Each ink droplet is charged with the same or a different electrical charge before its deflection. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for deflecting charged ink droplets of a continuously operating ink jet printer, with plate condensers in series producing voltage pulses to create an electrical field; (2) an ink jet printing head with at least one device for deflecting charged ink droplets; and (3) an ink jet printer with at least one ink jet printing head.
