The probe has an extraction pipe (12) for receiving portions of a gas e.g. exhaust gas, flow, where a flange (10) for holding a measuring unit (24) is provided at the extraction pipe. The extraction pipe is insertable through an opening in a wall that limits a gas channel or a gas volume. A zirconium sensor (32) is provided in the measuring unit, where the zirconium sensor detects the oxygen content in the gas flow.
