The method involves distinguishing recognized objects such that their image data (1) are divided into two types of fields. One type of the field comprises the recognized and distinguished objects and a surrounding field that directly correspond to the objects. Another type of the fields comprises image data, which is not assigned to former type of field. The image data of both types of fields are manipulated in different way. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an image display comprising a camera (2) an application of the image display for a driver assistance system.
