The mixture containing a surfactant contains (a) a hydrophobic organic medium and (b) a surfactant consisting of a hydrophobic polymer block linked to a polyether block. The terminal hydroxyl group of the polyether block is estered with a carbonic acid. This mixture can be used for the dispersion of powders of different chemical combinations to produce water-in-oil emulsions and as a component in lubricants.
