The table (10) has an intake opening (14) distributed at a printing table contact surface (12) for intake of medium e.g. paper sheet, to be printed. A hollow space (28) is provided under the intake opening and is accessible via and withdraw opening (26) and via the intake opening, where the free cross section of the withdraw opening is smaller than the free cross section of the intake opening. A controller and a sensor are provided for controlling and monitoring an intake pump.
