The method involves determining a data point of voxels of an object area such as human body, in a diagram, and using x-ray attenuation values during spectral distributions of an x-ray radiation. Inclined distances of the data point of the voxels are calculated from an associated straight line for combining the given data points for pure fat and for pure soft tissue in the diagram. The voxels are marked and represented, if the distance exceeds a given threshold value for the distance. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic detection of chemical anomalies and/or conspicuousness in soft tissue of an object area.
