The device has an actuator formed with a piezo element (8), where the actuator changes an air oscillation in an internal space of a vehicle. The piezo element is a part of a passive hybrid electro-mechanical network (9) with an electrical resonant circuit (13). The electro-mechanical network is a shunt circuit and the electrical characteristics of the network are changeable. The actuator is an electrically deformable structure. An independent claim is also included for a device for suppressing whining noise in the internal space of the vehicle.
