The device has a camshaft (1) that is driven by an internal combustion engine and including opening and closing cams (2, 3). Opening and closing valve lifters (4, 6) are in effective connection with the cams and with oil pads, where the opening valve lifter is in effective connection with a valve shaft of a charge-cycle valve. The valve lifters are protruded into an oil chamber (5) e.g. high pressure oil chamber, where a transmission unit (9) is arranged in the oil chamber and in effective connection with the valve lifters.
