The connection has two positioning supports arranged at electrical plug-in and mating connectors (1, 2), respectively. The supports fix a retaining screw and a retainer nut relative to contact carriers (3, 6) of the plug-in and mating connectors, respectively. Internal threaded regions (11) of the nut are radially aligned to non-threaded regions (10, 10`) of the screw and vice versa during radial alignment of the contact carrier (3) and/or a contact pin to the contact carrier (6) and/or a bushing. The nut is mountable on the screw and/or the screw is insertable into the nut. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electrical plug-in connector comprising a retaining screw (2) an electrical mating connector comprising a bushing.
