The arrangement has a pressure unit (7), and two acceleration units (8, 9) for measuring accelerations with respect to respective axes of a vehicle. One of the axes of the vehicle is variably aligned with the other axis of the vehicle. The pressure unit and the two acceleration units are integrated within a vehicle door. The two axes of the vehicle are aligned and offset to each other about 90 degrees, where one of the axes runs parallel to a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis of the vehicle and/or diagonal to the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for actuating a supporting device of a vehicle in case of an impact.
