The shaft bearing has two axially adjustable opposite and axially deformable antifriction bearings, whose inner rings are connected with a shaft (1) by impacts and whose outer rings are taken up by housing. The antifriction bearings are designed as axial antifriction needle bearing (3,4), which is connected by non-cutting inner and outer end sections with the shaft and with the housing. One of the internal end sections at a shaft station lies close to the shaft. The associated other inner end section is connected with the shaft in anti-swiveling manner by a non-cutting shaping process.
