The vehicle has two seats (1) that are transverse to a longitudinal axis (2) of the vehicle. An illumination unit has a search light formed in such a manner that an area (14) of an inner space (3) of the vehicle illuminated by the light is defined on a lamellar search field (7). A reading light is formed in such a manner that light emitted from the reading light strikes on centric reading surfaces outside of the field. The search and reading lights are disengaged from each other by an actuating unit, and are completely engaged by a control unit dependant on a position of an access unit to be opened.
