The system has an x-ray radiation device (2) formed such that imaging areas defined by individual x-ray radiation sources (2a-2c) on an imaging surface are abutted or overlapped on top of each other in an axial direction. The imaging areas are overcoated by x-ray radiation during rotation of the x-ray radiation sources such that the x-ray radiations of one of the x-ray radiation sources are impinged on image borders of common imaging areas that are formed by overlapping the imaging areas. The image borders run parallel to detector borders. An independent claim is also included for a method for generation of a cross section view of an examining object.
