The actuator has a free wheel with locking blocks (18, 80), where the block (80) is arranged at a connecting unit such that a shift finger is in a selection direction in a position when a blocking position of the wheel is provided to the block (80). A transverse path in switching direction is smaller than in the positions of the finger. The positions are provided when the actuator or wheel is in a blocking position at the block (18). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle transmission mechanism with a single motor-gearbox actuator (2) a method for operating a motor vehicle transmission mechanism using a single motor-gearbox actuator.
