The procedure for dewatering of mineralizable pollutants containing sewage stream from chemical or petrochemical plant, comprises physically treating the sewage stream for producing solid fraction from mineralizable pollutants and substantially pollutant-free gas fraction. The sewage stream is supplied in intensive contact with a warm gas stream. The temperature of the gas stream is adjusted at 100-200[deg]C before supplying the sewage stream into the gas stream. Oxygen containing gas mixture or air is used as warm gas. A fluidized bed granulator is used for carrying out the procedure.
