The method involves acquiring image data by irradiating a human breast. The acquired image data is analyzed with respect to the presence of a motion blur, and the presence of the blur is indicated accordingly. A computer controls a workflow with respect to which an image is acquired. The computer sets the parameters for the image acquisition and the system automatically sets a combination of parameters. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a digital X-ray mammography system comprising an X-ray source; (2) an arrangement in a digital X-ray mammography apparatus for image correction; and (3) a computer program stored in a memory for acquiring a digital X-ray mammography image.
