A central U-shaped heater tube is surrounded by an axi-parallel, helical, stainless steel water pipe with inlet and outlet ends. At points of direct mutual contact, they are welded together. They are fully encased in metal, forming an electrical heater unit. Aluminum or an aluminum alloy is cast in, to make a solid block heater unit.
