The device has a module implementing a dead time testing before start of operation of a measuring device. Another module implements measurement during start of operation of the measuring device for determining the reproducibility of the measuring data. A third module is provided for implementing a basic measurement during current operation of the measuring device for online determination of the plausibility of the measuring data. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining measuring accuracy of a measuring device e.g. engine test stand.
