The system has two exhaust gas channels extending to two groups of cylinders of an internal combustion engine (1), and a third exhaust gas channel extending downstream to a turbine (4b). A reducing agent adding device adds reducing agent to exhaust gas, and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system (11) supplies a part of exhaust gas as EGR gas to an air intake system. The device is arranged in the former channel and an EGR gas outlet (13) is arranged in the latter channel. A large part of the exhaust gas discharged from the channels is separately flowed to a turbine rotor without mixing.
