The device (100) has an air purifier which purifies a combustion air, which is loaded with a dirty particle, for a combustion engine (25). A centrifugal separator separates the combustion air into an air stream, which is free from the dirty particle, and another air stream which is loaded with the dirty particle. A blower (10) is arranged in a drive unit to suck the air stream, which is loaded with the dirty particle, such that cooling of the drive unit is effected. A cover (18) is integrated in the blower housing to cover the drive unit.
